Dirk Nowitzki and Jessica Olsson were married (again?) in the Caribbean.
Dirk Nowitzki and Jessica Olsson have been married since July 20, 2012, a judge told Robert Wilonsky of The Dallas Morning News. When the photos were taken early last month of an apparent marriage ceremony in Kenya, they were NOT married.
State District Judge Craig Smith said, “It wasn’t a formal wedding ceremony — and they didn’t consider themselves married.”
Smith married the couple at Nowitzki’s Preston Hollow home July 20 at an intimate ceremony with a few close friends. “And it was a pretty special deal,” said Smith.
Smith confirmed that Nowitzki and Olsson later jetted to an undisclosed island in the Caribbean for a private wedding ceremony attended by close family. The marriage license for the ceremony came from him.

As a wedding gift, Smith received a signed jersey “and special memories,” he beamed. “It was very special, and I appreciated their letting me be part of their special day.”
