King James, We Good!

Jason-Day-family

A family famous only on Sundays, with LeBron James collision, makes headlines mid-week.

Family and friends of Ellie Day are mourning the loss of her…anonymity.  Appearing slightly flattened, the wife of Australian golf star Jason Day bragged on Twitter, “Wow!! It’s official!” being caught like a deer in LeBron James’ headlights has earned me “more messages than hubby Jason’s winning the 2015 PGA Championship”!

Day, who’s a bit of a Wonder Woman herself after surviving giving birth to the couple’s second big-headed baby mere weeks ago, was taken to Cleveland’s GhettoHealth Medical Center via stretcher, where she was kept overnight for observation for the fog and cobwebs that prevented her from remembering until 2 a.m. the ball hurling toward her like an orange planet.

LeBron-James-falls-on-fan

LeBron James collision with pro golfer’s wife earns her instant fame.

“It’s a great experience for our fans to sit courtside at an NBA game…most nights,” mumbled LeBron James to the media after the Cavs’ win.  On Friday, James (who was able to save the ball but not the girl) tweeted: “Ellie Day, I hope you’re doing okay!  My apologies! Hope u guys come back to another game soon.  Love LJ!”

“First of all, I am okay!!” Ellie Day assured everyone.  “I am incredibly sore and exhausted (because it’s hard work for sports wives to sit and look pretty all day).  Being tackled by that large man I would compare to a minor car accident.  My head and neck were bent like a paper doll’s, and my whole body feels like it was struck by a truck.

Mom’s pretty tough. Birthin’ babies ain’t easy, you know!

“But to the crazies that think Jason could have protected me—if he had had time to react, I would have, too.  Also,” she added, “I would not have liked both dudes landing on me.”  (To which, three year old son Dash and one month old daughter Lucy giggled and cooed, respectively, in the background.)

“Finally, no hard feelings toward LeBron: He was just doing his job.  What woman in her right mind would balk at being a soft place for a billionaire to land?  Go Cavs!

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-100, making the Days’ trip up from outside of Columbus, Ohio where they reside—aside from the collision, ghetto hospital stay, and the concussion—a most exciting experience.
